All are invited          to join us froom noon til night (Mondays late opening at 6pm) and sample our new menu of locally-sourced, home-cooked pub fare at sensible prices. We are also pleased to extend our hospitality a step further, as we have opened the Inn for residential bookings. Please call the number listed below or email for details.

Our vision of the pub we want to run is defined by the kind of pub we want to drink in. We buy as locally as we can, and will offer a seasonal menu sourced as far as possible from within the county. We offer a good choice of quality and taste in each department, from real ales and ciders to meads, wines, and trappist beers.

We are also dedicated sponsors of the interesting and unusual, from Brew Dog's ales to the Freedom Organic lager range and Millwhite's Blackberry Blush cider. To combine locality with curiosity we are actively supporting East Sussex CAMRA's LocALE initiative.

We host live music every Saturday night, featuring folk, blues and rock. This summer we'll present a range of local and international artists, from Claire Hamill to Pass the Cat and Nelson King. Midweek music will include folk sessions, blues jams and open-mic nights, which will be announced on the Facebook page, where you can also find a full gig listing. Now, all we need is your company!
